I love the cold. It brews a time warps that slows everything down and pounds out a steady rhythm of cold that removes you from the world and allows you to look through a frosted looking glass towards everything around you. Ice licks your throat and caresses your lungs and envelops your soul while your heart beats to the rhythm of cold. Time freezes in one dizzying, surreal moment and you catch your breath to childishly imagine that time will never pick up where it left off. But that’s silly and time begins to tick on once more.
